Born in Hastings, East Sussex England to Bohemian parents – her father a classical composer and mother a budding starlet, Antonia found herself here, there and everywhere as her parents managed their careers and 5 children! With a father as a choir director in every town throughout England, he brought Antonia with him to his gigs and she soon learned to "sing out" a clear soprano to the Messiah or some Requiem. It was this new found confidence that led Antonia to pursue her love of theater, acting and singing. She ended up in America - Los Angeles to be exact and started pounding on the Musical Theatre doors, performing in such shows as "Sweet Charity," "Little Mary Sunshine," "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "Side by Side by Sondheim.” After being sent on an audition in Silverlake, she landed herself a job as "ELVETTE, GLADYSITA" in the "ELVEZ Gospel Show" and toured all over the United States and Canada playing almost a state a day. “It wasn't any Sunday Gospel Brunch either! I had to perform in platform shoes and rubber dresses,” says Antonia. After the ELVEZ tour ended, Antonia was sought out by local Los Angeles singer/songwriter sensation, Katrina Carlson as her background singer. With momentum behind Katrina’s album and label support, Antonia was whisked across the country once again with Katrina and her band playing to sold out arenas opening for such acts as Joan Jett, Chicago, Rick Springfield and had the opportunity to sing and perform with legendary 70s crooner Benny Mardones. Antonia can be seen in the upcoming Cirque Berzerk’s "Beneath" coming back to The Cornfield in downtown Los Angeles for a 2nd year. As an actress and singer, Antonia has worked across Los Angeles with the Troubadour Theatre Company at the Falcon Theatre; under the direction of Adrian Hall at the Geffen Playhouse; as well as at the Matrix; the Madrid and many others. Regional credits include of course the US/Canadian Tour with El Vez; a national commercial booking as the voice of weight loss supplement Fahrenheit; as well as national promotions for Verizon Wireless and Tandberg Television – all recorded from the comfort of her home studio. Antonia was also the featured backing vocals perfomer for the national US Tour with Kataphonic Records recording artist Katrina Carlson. As a voice over artist, Antonia is versatile in both her native British dialect, as well as an American dialect and is also skilled in regional dialects. When not on the road, Antonia calls Topanga home and can be frequently found performing at the likes of Froggy’s “Ladies of the Canyon,” The Troubadour, The Mint, Genghis Cohen, Molly Malone’s and the rest of the local Los Angeles music scene. Antonia holds a BA in Theatre, Film and Television from the University of California Los Angeles.
